The Buccleuch Arms, was built in 1836 as a hunting lodge by the 5th Duke of Buccleuch is central to the Borders and hosted many weary travellers from all walks of life. Privately owned and operated in recent years the Buccleuch has won many awards for food, drink and hospitality and Scottish Inn of the Year on 4 occasions and we hope to welcome back as many returning guests from near and far as well as some new ones too. Their latest accolade was Countryside Alliance Rural Pub of the Year for 2023 which they were very proud to win. They are a serious game cooking pub who promote wild meat all year round.
