The Kirkstyle Inn and Sportsman’s Rest, nestled in the stunning countryside on the borders of Cumbria and Northumberland are celebrating Great British Game Week in style this year. They are showcasing Northumberland’s amazing wild meat, with a sumptuous, five course, Feast of the Wild on Thursday the 7th of November, which will be supported by artfully paired wines. Sarah from Eat Wild will be there to talk about the amazing work Eat Wild have done so far this year and the importance of promoting wild and sustainable menus, for the future of our countryside and our younger generations. The Kirkstyle’s very own Gamekeeper will also be sharing insights into the dedicated efforts involved in conserving the moorlands and managing wildlife to bring the dishes to your table.

But that is not all!
Head Chef Connor Wilson is hosting a Masterclass in how to prepare and cook game on Saturday the 9th of November. The event starts at 11.30am and includes a two-course lunch. One of courses will be the game dish Connor has demonstrated and shown you how to prepare. The price per person is £45.
The Kirkstyle will be running a games tasting menu throughout Great British Game Week and beyond. They are very kindly, donating a £5 of the proceeds from each game tasting menu sold to Eat Wild to help fund the continued promotion and education of the benefits and importance of eating wild meat across the country.
